Youth exchange "We make good choices" in Arad
Youthland Association, together with other partner organizations from Cyprus, Turkey, Bulgaria, Spain and Portugal, implemented in Arad their first project funded by the Erasmus plus program of the European Union, through the National Agency for Community Programs in Vocational Education and Training. Youthland is a youth association, based in Vladimirescu commune, Arad county, founded by young people with vision and interest for the development of young people from the Arad community and beyond.
The aim of Youthland Association is to support, educate and integrate young people into society through non-formal education. Their plan is to encourage the development of young people at all levels, such as their active participation in community life and increase their chances of employment, thus contributing to the formation of a balanced society.
"We set out to make the youth exchange “We make good choices” to encourage and motivate 30 young people from different parts of Europe to change their lifestyle to a healthier one, to share their experiences, to discuss various issues related to diet, health, exercise, well-being, healthy lifestyle, consumerism and the environment. We also set out to make young people more tolerant, more self-reliant, more open to other cultures, and to strengthen their concept of a "united Europe." The young people were delighted to discover the traditions and culture of the place, our city, the warmth of the people and the beauty of the surroundings. We would like to thank our local partners who supported us and contributed to the success of this project.
We thank the City Hall of Vladimirescu Commune, especially Mr. Mayor Mag Mihai, for all the help, information provided and for the warm welcome
@Zooland Arad because they welcomed us with open arms, among deer and other animals so loved by all participants
@Ansamblului Florile Muresului Vladimirescu who offered us an unforgettable experience, showing us folk dances specific to the place
To @Sola Cristian, a postural rehabilitation coach and professional dancer, who set our blood in motion, he gave us a lot of information about our posture and our body in general.
@Alexandrei Olteanu (Bulboaca) dietitian nutritionist, who taught us a lot of new things about how we function as a body, about food and how to use them so as to obtain a maximum benefit on our health.
To Dr. @Catalin Costea who explained to us the importance of observing the rules of hygiene, of vaccination and not only, in the context of the Coronavirus pandemic
Last but not least, we thank the trainer @Eslam Fares who facilitated the activity sessions in a special way, creating a strong team and motivating the young people to participate actively, to be interested in learning and to open up.
We spent a week together full of action, energy, good vibes, self-awareness and knowledge accumulation, which will surely have a long-term impact on everyone involved.
Guys, you were the best!”
